Being born with a gift was seen as a blessing to many but not to Sana who had won the lottery when she born into a family of psychics with her own unusual power. It wasn't until the age of 5, where she began seeing things that weren't there, was it known that she had the power to communicate with spirits who have yet moved on. Being so young, she did not understand why others could not see what she saw and because of that, it set her apart from her peers. In her early years of highschool, Sana had heard all sorts of crazy things about her family. Some said they practiced "black magic" while others claimed that her family had sacrifical rituals. However, this did not stop people from trying to get close to her in hopes that she could do them favors for free. At first, Sana went along with it because she had the foolish idea that these people could potentially be friends if she helped them out. Growing up with people being afraid of her was tiring and lonely and for once, they showed interest in her. Despite this, Sana paid the price. It became mentally taxing for her to use her gift to speak to the deceased as she found herself seeing and hearing things she did not want to and she quickly realized that the moment she stopped "helping" others, they no longer saw any use for her. They never saw her as a person with feelings but instead she was viewed as a freak. Thanks to her hard exterior, it was not difficult for her to cut them out of her life and move on but from that day onward, she made a promise to herself that she would no longer share that part of her with others as it was in her best interest to appear normal. Once she finished highschool, she moved away from home in an attempt to distance herself from her identity and to take control over her own life for once. She now lives alone in a studio apartment where she works various part time jobs to keep herself afloat and get her through college.
